play movie directly from Local FTP server...with Diract Net Drive....

DirectNet Drive

allows to access your remote files stored on FTP/SFTP and WebDAV servers just as if they are located on your local PC. With DirectNet Drive you can use the remote storage as a local drive: drag-n-drop the files in Windows Explorer, watch videos and play music in your favorite media player, edit documents just directly from the FTP site.

What's new in this version: Version 1.2.3 supports connection at Windows startup.

Operating systems

Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008

FTP specific features supported by Direct Net Drive:

dot Active/passive mode option

By default passive mode is turned on. You can always change this for the site in the advanced settings window.

dot SSL encryption for data and commands channels

You can choose between:
a) trying SSL and falling back if failed,
b) use SSL only for command channel,
c) use SSL for all communication.

dot FTP logs dump option

In case of network errors you can always inspect all the FTP communication by viewing log files.

dot Supports non-standart "list -a" command

Some FTP servers do not report hidden files to standart "list" command. In order to see the hidden files also "list -a" command should be used. Option to turn on usage of "list -a" command can be found in the advanced settings window.

dot Supports UTF-8 encoding

By default DirectNet Drive tries to use UTF-8 encoding. In case of failure it falls back to the specified encoding (or system encoding if none specified).

dot Supports HTTP/SOCKS4/SOCKS5 proxy connection

You can specify user/password for proxy server if it requires for authentication.
